Writing, not just reading
Right after a child meets a letter and hears it, they get to write it. A dot shows where to start, the shape lights up as they follow it, and it is forgiving on purpose — a wobbly line still counts. There is no wrong, no red, and nothing to lose.

In short
TamilTime is a free web app that teaches beginner Tamil vocabulary to kids. Every word arrives with a picture, the Tamil spelling and pronunciation you can play aloud. Nothing to install, no account to make.
Instructions are in English, so a child who reads a little English can follow a lesson on their own. The Tamil is always shown in Tamil script, never spelled out in English letters.
Ten short turns, a few minutes in total. A word is introduced, then comes back in a different shape — choose the Tamil word, pick the picture, listen and choose, match the pairs. That variety is what makes beginner Tamil lessons stick.
Each of the 100 words has its own illustration and two audio clips, one Tamil and one English. Tamil pronunciation for children is the hardest part to get from a book, so it is available on every word.
